To bring hope to the people of our communities, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The purpose of the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene is to introduce individuals to Jesus Christ and incorporate them into His family, to disciple them to spiritual maturity, to equip them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world, so that God's name will be glorified.

Adrian First Church of the Nazarene is a community-based fellowship of Christian believers dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To this end we seek to encourage discipleship and train believers for works of service in order to reach out to those in our community who are seeking God’s love and salvation.
We will accomplish this through Bible-centered preaching and teaching, and through mutual edification and support in Christian fellowship.

Love and Acceptance: We strive to accept people where they are, and to demonstrate to them the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:7, John 3:16-17)

Unreached People: We place a priority on those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior. (Timothy 2:3-4)

Need Based Ministry: We place the priority on meeting the needs of people rather than programs. (Galatians 6:9-10)

Shared Ministry: We will seek to develop and equip believers for full participation in the Body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12)

Excellence: We  believe that God is worthy of our best efforts. Therefore, we have made a committment to continuous improvements and will maintain a standard of excellence in all that we do. (1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:17, 23)

Small Groups: We are committed to buidling and maintaining close personal relationships through the use of small groups. (Acts 2:46)

. . . to be a church where we love one another boldly, forgive one another freely, serve one another sacrificially, and communicate with one another authentically.

. . . to be a church where people who don’t know Christ receive priority attention and where they are attracted to him by the winsome, authentic, lavish love of Christ that they see us display toward one another.

. . . to be a biblically functioning community of believers where people discover their God-given gifts and employ them gladly in the church for the good of the whole body, where the rich help take care of the poor and the strong help carry the weak, where hurting, struggling folks are not condemned, but cared for and healed and where all people are valued simply on the basis that they matter to God and, therefore, matter to us.

. . . to be a church where seekers can come and find a safe place where they can be accepted and loved and yet be drawn to a loving Christ who desires to wash away their sin and make them new and whole and clean.

. . . to be a church where it’s okay, even the norm, for people to be real, genuine, vulnerable and transparent, displaying the loving holiness of God that has been poured out in their hearts by the Holy Spirit.

. . . to be a church where new believers are nurtured, cared for, grounded in their faith and grow to maturity and where mature believers reproduce themselves spiritually in the lives of others.

. . . to be a church where we present ourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

. . . to be a church that looks beyond itself and beyond its immediate community to its larger responsibility of helping to fulfill the great commission of Christ to the very ends of the earth.
